HENDERSON, Tenn. - The Lindsey Wilson women's basketball team faced No. 23 Freed-Hardeman on Saturday for their final game of the regular season. The Blue Raiders won with a score of 73-67.
After the first half, the Blue Raiders led with a score of 33-25. Lucy Patterson led the team in points with nine as well as in rebounds with eight and assists with two. Amelia Hodges recorded eight points in the half as well as one steal and Jordyn Stephens recorded a block. Lindsey Wilson shot 48.1% from the field, 50% on three point shots and 60% from the free throw line. For the Lions, Rachel Satterly led in points with eight and Kelsey Bender led in rebounds with six. KJ White led in assists with two as well as in steals and blocks with one apiece. Freed-Hardeman shot 24.1% from the field, 20% on three point shots and 81.8% from the free throw line.
Lindsey Wilson added 40 points during the second half to secure a win over Freed-Hardeman. Taylor Guess tallied the most points in the game with 19 total, followed by Hodges and Patterson with 15 each. Patterson also recorded 12 rebounds in the game, earning herself a double-double, as well as leading in assists with four. Stephens had two blocks and steals, and Sydnie Hall had two steals. In total, the Blue Raiders shot 47.1% from the field, 58.3% on three point shots and 72% from the free throw line. For Freed-Hardeman, Satterly added 13 points in the second half for 21 overall. Bender recorded seven rebounds and White had six along with three assists. White also had four steals and one block. The Lions shot 38.3% from the field, 35.3% on three point shots, and 71.4% from the free throw line.
The Blue Raiders secured the No. 4 seed in the conference standings. The postseason brackets will be announced on Saturday evening for the conference championship that will take place in Bowling Green.
