COLUMBIA, Ky. – The Lindsey Wilson baseball team travels to Georgetown (Ky.) for a Mid-South Conference series Saturday and Sunday at Robert N. Wilson Field. The two teams open the series with a doubleheader beginning at 1 p.m. CST on Saturday and close out the series on Sunday at 1 p.m. CST.

The Blue Raiders (12-14, 0-3 MSC) are coming off a 16-6 loss at Tennessee Southern on Wednesday.  Gabe Board led the way for Lindsey Wilson with three hits and two doubles. Sam Gage recorded a pair of hits and drove in a run while four other Blue Raiders also recorded an RBI.

Lindsey Wilson enters play averaging 6.5 runs per game and are batting .265 as a team. Board leads the team with a .345 average while Chance Stayton is hitting .337. Stayton is tied for the team lead in home runs with five and has driven in a team-high 29 runs. On the mound, Cohen Achen and Mason Malone have each recorded three wins. Achen leads the Blue Raiders with 53 strikeouts in 32-2/3 innings.

Georgetown (16-10, 2-1 MSC) defeated Shawnee State (Ohio) 21-3 on Wednesday. The Tigers totaled 19 hits in the game led by Joshua Duarte who had five. Duarte and Landon Dismang each hit a home run and drove in three. Dismang leads the Tigers with a .358 average while Payton Rios has hit a team-high four home runs. On the mound, Georgetown is led by Anthony Barrera who is 4-1 with a 2.10 ERA in 30 innings of work.

Last season, the Blue Raiders won the season series against the Tigers taking two of three games at Egnew Park.

The MSC series gets underway on Saturday at 1 p.m. CT at Robert N. Wilson Field.
