FULTON, Mo. -- Lindsey Wilson men's tennis' winning streak ended today with a 4-0 setback to No. 6-ranked William Woods (Mo.) at Suzanne Neal Memorial Tennis Complex.
The Owls (9-4) notched the first point of the day by winning two of the three doubles matches and claimed the team win by winning the three completed singles matches. The match was halted after William Woods reached four wins due to inclement weather.
Jan Silhavy and Jaume Barcelo fell to nationally ranked singles players to help the Owls take a 3-0 lead. William Woods' Stepan Mach claimed the day's final point with a 6-0, 7-5 win over Lucas Marques on court four for the 4-0 team win.
The loss ended Lindsey Wilson's four-match winning streak. Two of the three losses this season for the Blue Raiders (6-3) came at the hands of top-10 teams, while the other loss was to NCAA Division I Eastern Kentucky.
Lindsey Wilson returns to action at 1 p.m. CT on Thursday, March 14, as the Blue Raiders return to Mid-South Conference action at Campbellsville (Ky.).
