HARRISON, Tenn. – The Lindsey Wilson men's golf team captured their seventh tournament victory of the season at the Battle for the Bay Tuesday at Bear Trace at Harrison Bay.
The Blue Raiders shot a 1-under par 585 over the two rounds (292-283) and were the only team to shoot a round under-apar in the tournament. Lindsey Wilson finished 15 shots ahead of runner-up Tennessee Wesleyan.
Rio Saigal (72-71) and
Milan Reed (73-70) finished tied for second with 143 finishing six shots back of the winner. Reed carded four birdies in the second round while Saigal had three.
Callum Waugh finished sixth with a 144 (73-71) while
Rafe Blankenship moved up four spots in the final round finishing in seventh with a 145 (74-71).
Toby White improved 12 spots in the final round carding a 148 (77-71) finishing tied for 14th.
Charlie Jones and Adam Hawthorn competed as individuals. Jones moved up 16 spots to tie for 20th with a 151 (79-72) while Hawthorn improved 15 spots with a 155 (83-72) to finish tied for 30th.
The Blue Raiders now begin to prepare for the Mid-South Conference Championship taking place April 29-May 1 at Bowling Green Country Club in Bowling Green, Ky.
