BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – The top-seeded Lindsey Wilson women's tennis team defeated No. 4 seed Campbellsville (Ky.) 4-0 in the Mid-South Conference Tournament Semifinals at the Warren County Tennis and Sports Facility.
Anastasiia Ivanchenko and
Martina Cortal defeated Ariadna Perez and Andrea Ovejero 6-1 at No. 3 doubles. The Blue Raiders earned the doubles point with a 6-4 victory from
Mariangeles Mateu and
Heyka Rodriguez in the second-seeded doubles match.
Rodriguez won by retirement at No. 6 singles increasing the Lindsey Wilson lead to 2-0.
Darija Mladenovic (ranked No. 52 in singles) defeated Clara Asprella 6-3, 6-1 on court four. Ivanchenko (ranked No. 30) clinched the match for the Blue Raiders winning 6-4, 6-2 at No. 5 singles.
With the victory, the Blue Raiders advance to Saturday's championship match at Noon CT where they will face the winner of No. 2 seed Bethel (Tenn.) and third-seeded Cumberlands (Ky.).
