BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – The Lindsey Wilson men's golf team captured the 2024 Mid-South Conference Men's Golf tournament championship on Wednesday at Bowling Green Country Club.
The Blue Raiders capture their first conference tournament title since 2015 and sixth overall. With the victory, Lindsey Wilson earns the conference's automatic bid into the NAIA Men's Golf National Championship.
Lindsey Wilson ended the three-round tournament with a 5-under par 861 (292-286-283) defeating runner-up Campbellsville by 10 shots. The Blue Raiders' third round 283 was the second-lowest score of the tournament.
Callum Waugh won the individual title with a 5-under par 211 (70-69-72). Waugh was 6-under on par 5s which ranked second in the tournament and led the championship with a pair of eagles.
Milan Reed finished one shot behind Waugh with a 212 (75-69-68). Reed's third round 68 was tied for the lowest score of the tournament. With their individual finishes, Waugh and Reed were both named to the MSC Men's Golf All-Tournament Team.
Rio Saigal posted a top-10 finish coming in 10th with a 220 (76-74-70) while
Toby White was tied for 13th with a 222 (71-78-73).
Rafe Blankenship rounds out the Lindsey Wilson scoring with a 226 (76-74-76).
The Blue Raiders now being preparations for the NAIA Men's Golf National Championship May 21-24 at Dalton Golf and Country Club in Dalton, Georgia.
