DALTON, Ga. – The Lindsey Wilson men's golf team sits in 11th following the second round of the NAIA Championship Wednesday at Dalton Country Club.
The Blue Raiders shot a 21-over par 309 in the second round on the par-72 7,043 yard course. Through two rounds, Lindsey Wilson is +36 with a 612 after carding a 303 in the first round on Monday. The Blue Raiders recorded six birdies and an eagle in the second round. Through two rounds, Lindsey Wilson is just one of four teams to be even par or better on par 5s.
Callum Waugh had an outstanding second round moving up 59 spots on the individual leaderboard with a 1-under 71. Waugh is tied for 15th with a 149 after shooting a 78 in round one. After being +1 on the front nine, Waugh birdied four of his first six holes on the back nine including three straight. In his final three holes of the round, he recorded two pars and a double bogey to finish with a 71.
Rio Saigal (76-78) and
Milan Reed (74-80) are tied for 56th with a 154.
Toby White is tied for 65th with a 155 (75-80) while
Rafe Blankenship rounds out the Blue Raider scoring with a 159 (79-80). Blankenship recorded an eagle on hole 13 and is one of eight players to eagle in the championship.
The Blue Raiders begin their third round on hole 10 at 7 a.m. CT on Thursday at Dalton Country Club.
