PORTSMOUTH, Ohio – The Lindsey Wilson women's soccer game at Shawnee State was suspended with 26:50 in the second half due to lightning in the area.
The Blue Raiders jumped out to a 4-0 lead before entering a lightning delay. The game will be resumed on a date to be announced.
Lindsey Wilson holds a 14-3 advantage in shots over the Bears and has a 10-1 edge in shots on goal. After a scoreless first half,
Nataly Chauta got the Blue Raiders on the board in the 49th minute.
Liza von Blumenthal increased the lead to 2-0 in the 53rd minute with
Emilie Bernard earning the assist. Lindsey Wilson took a 3-0 advantage on a goal from
Ashiat Naluggwa with Bernard picking up her second assist in the 57th minute. Less than a minute later,
Sharon Nadunga pushed the lead to 4-0 on an assist from Naluggwa.
The Blue Raiders return to action on Sunday when they travel to Decatur, Alabama to take on No. 2 William Carey (Miss.) at 5 p.m. CT.
