COLUMBIA, Ky.- The Lindsey Wilson men's golf team placed finished first at the Lindsey Wilson College Fall Classic Tuesday at The Pines at Lindsey Wilson.
The Blue Raiders carded a 51-under par 801 (263-261-277) finishing 49 shots better than runner-up Truett McConnell. Lindsey Wilson's three-round score of 801 is the second-lowest score in program history. The Lindsey Wilson B team posted finished tied for fourth with an 855 (283-287-285).
Johan Bredenkamp led all golfers by shooting an outstanding 18-under 195 (63-63-69). Bredenkamp's 195 is tied for the second-lowest three-round score in program history. He finished the tournament with 24 birdies.
Stanley White shot a 202 (68-62-72) to finish runner-up. White finished the tournament with 17 birdies and two eagles.
Rio Saigal (66-68-69) and
Toby White (68-68-69) finished tied for third with a 203.
Adam Hawthorn (66-70-72) and Polakrit Pawachai –B team – (71-71-66) tied for fifth with 208.
Also on the B team,
Maciej Janusiewicz (67-73-74) and
James Gibb (67-73-74) tied for 13th with 214.
Briley Sharpe carded a 219 (77-72-70) to finish tied for 25th while
Magnus Maahr – competing as an individual – shot 220 (71-70-79) to finish tied for 29th.
The Blue Raiders are back in action Oct. 7 for the Music City Collegiate in Dickson, Tenn.
