Berea, Ky- The Lindsey Wilson men's cross country team has had an ideal start to the 2024 season, winning the Mike and Mary Kay Johnson Classic on Saturday morning, hosted by Berea College.
Lindsey Wilson took first place in the team category with an average time of 29:03 beating runner-up NCAA Division I Morehead State by five points.
Justin Stearns finished first in the 8K race with a time of 27:08.9 with an average time of 5:27.6 per mile. Blue Raider sophomore Marti Mollins also placed in the top five securing fourth place with a time of 27:38.4 and an average time of 5:33.6 per mile.
Logan Bullock (29:44.8), Bryce Clayton (30:03.6), Blake Mullins (30:42.8), and Kevin Cuin (31:26.5) all placed within the top 25.
The rest of the Blue Raider finishers included Xavier Smith (32:44.1), and Jace Cowman (32:46.4).
The Blue Raiders are back in action Oct. 5 for the Live in Louisville Classic in Louisville, Ky.
