COLUMBIA, Ky. – The No. 25-ranked Lindsey Wilson men's soccer team is set to host Georgia Gwinnett at 7 p.m. CT on Thursday at Ray Wells Field at Walter S. Reuling Stadium.

The Blue Raiders (0-2-2) return home following their participation in the NAIA Atlanta Classic, where they played two challenging matches. They secured a 3-3 draw against No. 21-ranked University of Rio Grande (Ohio) and fell 3-1 to No. 2-ranked St. Thomas University.

Thursday's match is crucial for Lindsey Wilson as they look to secure their first win of the season and build momentum moving forward.

Several Blue Raiders have started the season strong. Kenn Muendo has contributed two goals and an assist, showcasing impressive form for a midfielder. Freshman Dominic Ayella has also made an impact, scoring two goals and consistently posing a threat in the attacking third. Jaland Larmond leads the team in assists with two.

On the other side, the Grizzlies (5-0) have had a perfect start to their season, winning all five of their matches and conceding only three goals. However, it's worth noting that they have yet to face a ranked opponent. Forward Alejandro Contrera leads Georgia Gwinnett in scoring with three goals, while Nic Peranitsch has provided three assists.

In their previous meetings, Georgia Gwinnett holds a 2-1 advantage over Lindsey Wilson, but the Blue Raiders won their last encounter 2-0 in October 2023 at Georgia.
