COLUMBIA, Ky.- The Lindsey Wilson basketball team will conclude their three-game road trip against No. 17 University of the Cumberlands (Ky.) at 6:30 p.m CT Thursday at O. Wayne Rollins Center. 


The Blue Raiders (14-6, 2-3 Mid-South Conference) are looking to bounce back after a tough 76-69 loss to then-No. 2 Freed-Hardeman (Tenn.). Offensively, they average 83.1 points per game shooting 48.6 percent from the field and 38.5 percent from three. Known for their fast and physical play, the Blue Raiders capitalize on turnovers, averaging 13.3 points off opponents' mistakes. 


Reigning MSC Offensive  Player of the Week, Julian Cunningham, aims to keep his momentum going after a career-high 33 point performance agains Freed-Hardeman. Cunningham averages 16.9 points per game, leading the Blue Raiders alongside Kenyata Carbon and Daivel Jackson, the only other players averaging double figures. Carbon contributes 16.6 points per game, while Jackson adds 13.6 and leads the team on the boards with 7.9 rebounds per game. 


The Patriots (15-5, 4-1 MSC) will look to leading scorer junior guard Anthony Johnson to help push Cumberlands past the Blue Raiders. He is joined by his teammates Matthew Cromer and DJ Jones as the only members on the team to reach double-digit scorers with 16.5 and 11.5. The Blue Raiders will need to be defensively sound and disciplined, as the Patriots not only lead the Mid-South Conference in scoring but also rank third in the NAIA, averaging 93.3 points per game.
