No.5 Blue Raiders Host No.18 Wildcats for Top-20 Battle on Senior Night

COLUMBIA, Ky.- The No.5-ranked Blue Raider men's soccer team is set to host No.18-ranked Bethel (Tenn.) at 7:30  P.M. on Ray Wells Field, inside Walter S. Reuling Stadium on Senior Night. 

Lindsey Wilson (9-2-1, Mid-South Conference 2-2) is coming off of a 3-1 victory over the University of Tennessee Southern. After sitting for two games, offensive leader Dominic Ayella will be available for the top-20 showdown. Ayella has tallied six goals on the season, with Milan Diao adding five. Michael Rempel has contributed three goals and a team high six assists. Francois Djiba guards the net holding a 7-1-1, MSC 2-1-0 record. Djiba has faced 36 shots, saving 30 and allowing only six goals to opponents. 

LWU has outshot MSC competitors 96 to 30, tallying 36 shots on goal compared to their opposition's 17. The Blue Raiders have outscored their entrants 10 to five, with assists being registered on five of the goals. 

Bethel sits at 8-0-2, MSC 3-0-1 on the season with their most recent victory coming in the form of a 5-0 shutout of Georgetown (Ky.) on Friday. Souleymane Balde and Gregory Cousins lead the Wildcats offense with 10 and seven goals, respectively. Cousins and Horace Avila Jr. head the assist column with six and five, respectively. Diego Camargo has spent the most time in the net, tallying 20 saves and allowing five goals. 

The Wildcats have outscored their opponents 31 to six on the season and 15 to one in conference play, conceding their only MSC goal to Freed-Hardeman (Tenn.). 

This will be the 14th meeting between the two programs with LWU leading 9-3-1. Lindsey Wilson is 4-2 at home and outscored Bethel on Ray Wells Field 10 to four. The last meeting was on September 25, 2024 where the Blue Raiders fell 2-0. 

Senior Night will occur immediately after the women's game, followed by the men's soccer team taking the field at 7:30 P.M. CT.
