COLUMBIA, Ky. – Lindsey Wilson student-athlete
Connor Woosley is the Mid-South Conference men's Bowler of the Week, league officials announced Tuesday.
The Louisville native becomes the program's first weekly honoree since Jonah Anderson on October 16, 2019. He is also the fourth Blue Raider freshman all-time to collect the award.
Over the weekend, Lindsey Wilson traveled to Smyrna, Tennessee for a slate of Mid-South Conference events.
On Saturday, Woosley earned Greater Nashville Open All-Tournament Team distinction with a fourth-place finish and 229.5 average through four games. His second game of the day – 279 – was the highest individual score of the tournament.
Then, at Sunday's Brandon Burns Memorial Classic, Woosley rolled a 216.8 average with a high score of 259 in his fourth game to place 12
th overall and help Lindsey Wilson to a sixth-place finish as a team.
Woosley closed the weekend with a pin-fall total of 1,785 (223.1 average). He was the only bowler to finish inside the top-12 on both days of competition.
Connor and his Blue Raider teammates head to Barbourville, Kentucky for the Bulldog Open, hosted by Union Commonwealth (Ky.), on November 22-23.
