A dump-over kill by Gonçalves and subsequent strike from Wyrzykowska opened a 7-3 start for the hosts in the first set. Off the serving of Robinson, the Blue Raiders raced out to a 7-0 lead in the second set. Four different players produced kills during the run. By the time Brescia found the scoreboard, the damage was too much to overcome. A Wyrzykowska kill followed by back-to-back service aces by Gonçalves pushed the score to 18-11 late, then
Ava Blomenberg added a kill and Hampton an ace to run it up to 21-13. Lindsey Wilson achieved its last four points of the set on kills from Wyrzykowska, Gonçalves, and Blomenberg.
The Bearcats tallied the first point of the third set but fell behind an 8-2 Blue Raider run. Pjevic made two blocks with help from Wyrzykowska and
Rylee Springer. Brescia stuck around for a more competitive frame and took the deficit down to 18-17 before a four-point spark by Lindsey Wilson added some distance. Service aces by Robinson and
Petra Fernandez Garcia improved the score to 24-18. The Bearcats continued to fight with two more points, but Wyrzykowska finished them off with another kill.
