COLUMBIA, Ky. – The Lindsey Wilson women's soccer team kicks off the Mid-South Conference Tournament quarterfinals against Freed-Hardeman (Tenn.) at 4 p.m. CT Thursday October 30 at Parnell Family Stadium.


The Blue Raiders (8-4-2, 5-0-1 MSC) are riding momentum after a dominant 6-0 win over the Lions (0-14-1, 0-6 MSC) last Saturday. Lindsey Wilson has been rolling on both ends of the field, outscoring opponents 18-2 during a five-game winning streak.


Efua Asabel has been red-hot, scoring 10 goals this season, six coming in the last five matches. Ashiat Naluggwa has also stepped up offensively, netting six goals in the past four games. On defense, the Blue Raiders have been tough to crack, holding opponents to just 12.9% shooting and an average of only 10 shots per game compared to their own 15.


Freed-Hardeman will lean on top scorers Ellie Wood and Isabel Croke, who have four and three goals respectively. The Lions will need to bring energy and discipline if they hope to slow down a surging Blue Raider squad.
