COLUMBIA,Ky. - The Lindsey Wilson women's soccer team travels to Williamsburg, Ky. for a Mid-South Conference matchup against No. 4 Cumberlands (Ky.) at 3:30 CT p.m. at the Cumberlands Soccer Complex.

The Blue Raiders (3-4-2, 2-0-1 MSC) are coming off a heartbreaking finish, as a last-second goal by No. 12 Cumberland (Tenn.) resulted in a draw against their Mid-South Conference opponent last Wednesday.

Lindsey Wilson will look to rebound, leaning on Offensive Player of the Week Efua Asabel, who recorded two goals and one assist in the Blue Raiders' previous match. Asabel leads the team with 12 points and is tied for first in goals with four this season. Known for their aggressive offensive style, the Blue Raiders rank third in the Mid-South Conference with 18 points and second with 53 shots. To take down a top-five opponent, Lindsey Wilson must stay disciplined in their game plan and maintain possession to create quality scoring opportunities. 

Cumberlands (Ky.) (8-1-3, 2-0-1 MSC) enters the matchup coming off a top-10 win over No. 9 SCAD-Savannah (Ga.), earning a 1-0 victory behind a lone goal from Alba Ramirez. The Patriots are led by Nicole Araujo and J. Fernandez Calvo, who are tied for fourth in the Mid-South Conference in goals scored this season. Offensively, Cumberlands has been a force, tallying 92 points overall, which is second in the conference, and 38 points in league-play, which ranks first. Defensively, the Patriots are equally dominant, recording seven shutouts, the most in the conference. 

The Blue Raiders must stay composed on both ends of the field, capitalizing on scoring chances while limiting Cumberlands' high-powered attack.
