Blue Raiders Look to Stay Perfect in the Brady Button Memorial Classic

11/1/2025 9:00:00 AM

COLUMBIA, Ky.- The Lindsey Wilson men's basketball team will face Fisk University (Tenn.) and the College of Coastal Georgia in the Brady Button Memorial Classic this weekend inside Biggers Sports Center. The Blue Raiders will take on Fisk on Saturday, November 1, at 4 p.m. CT and Coastal Georgia on Sunday, November 2, at 4 p.m. CT.

Lindsey Wilson (2-0, 0-0 Mid-South Conference) looks to stay undefeated and move to 4-0 after the weekend. The Blue Raiders are averaging 80.5 points per game while shooting 41.0 percent from the field and pulling down 51.0 rebounds per game.

Through the first two games, the team has shown strong fundamentals and balanced scoring, with several players reaching double digits rather than relying on just one offensive leader. The Blue Raiders aim to improve their shooting from beyond the arc, currently at 24.2 percent, but have remained tough defensively, holding opponents to 37.0 percent from the field and forcing 19 turnovers per game while also getting 13.5 steals per game and 4.0 blocks per game.

The Bulldogs (0-3, 0-0 Continental Athletic Conference) will look to bounce back against the Blue Raiders after falling to Tennessee Southern on Tuesday, October 28, 87-76. Freshman guard Kaleb Jeffries leads Fisk's offense, averaging 18.7 points, 2.7 assists, and shooting 55.3 percent from the field and 43.8 percent from three. To slow down Lindsey Wilson, the Bulldogs will need to play a full, balanced game as they search for their first win of the season.

The Sea Turtles (1-1, 0-0 Sun Conference) also look to rebound after an 83-74 loss to Georgia Gwinnett on Tuesday, October 28. Coastal Georgia features three players scoring in double figures and plans to test the Blue Raiders' defense with their offensive pressure. On the defensive side, the Sea Turtles allow just 74.0 points per game, so staying disciplined will be key if they hope to stop Lindsey Wilson's attack and earn a victory.

The Blue Raiders will look to remain perfect in the Brady Button Memorial Classic as they build early-season momentum against Fisk University (Tenn.) and the College of Coastal Georgia on Saturday, November 1, at 4 p.m. CT and Sunday, November 2, at 4 p.m. CT inside Biggers Sports Center.
