COLUMBIA, Ky. – The Lindsey Wilson women's soccer team travels to Lakeland, Florida, to face Southeastern University (Fla.) in the Second Round of the NAIA National Tournament at 5 p.m. CT on Saturday, November 22, at SEU Soccer Field.
The No. 19 Blue Raiders (9-5-2, 5-0-1 Mid-South Conference) look to make another deep tournament run in their first appearance since 2022, and 25th overall, as they take on the 15th-ranked Fire. Lindsey Wilson is coming off a one-goal, semifinals loss to No. 10 Cumberlands in the Mid-South Tournament and is searching for the program's first ever NAIA Second Round win.
Efua Asabel leads the Blue Raiders with 13 goals this season, including five in the last three matches. Ashiat Naluggwa has added nine goals, providing steady offensive production. Defensively, freshman goalkeeper Demi Serman anchors the back line with a 6-5 record and a 73.2 save percentage. As a team, Lindsey Wilson averages 14.8 shots and 2.44 goals per game while allowing just 10.0 shots and 1.31 goals per game to opponents.
Southeastern (13-2-3, 6-1-1 Sun Conference) enters the matchup fresh off a 3-2 conference tournament championship victory over No. 3 Keiser on November 12. The Fire will rely on offensive leaders Olivia Hadad and Sara Irurozki, who each have 10 goals this season. Southeastern averages 17.3 shots and 2.67 goals per game, making them a dangerous attacking team.
With two fast-paced, high-scoring offenses, Saturday's matchup promises to be an exciting battle that could come down to the final minutes.
