COLUMBIA, Ky. - The Lindsey Wilson women's soccer team turns its focus to the semifinal round of the Mid-South Conference Tournament, where the 18th ranked Blue Raiders will face No. 10 Cumberlands (Ky.) on Wednesday, November 5, at Walter S. Reuling Stadium on Ray Wells Field.

Lindsey Wilson (9-4-2) enters the matchup riding a six-match winning streak after defeating Freed-Hardeman (Tenn.) 2-0 in last Thursday's quarterfinals. Earlier this season, Lindsey Wilson earned its highest-ranked win in ten years against then-No. 4 Cumberlands with a 1-0 victory on October 8 in Williamsburg, thanks to an 85th-minute goal from Efua Asbel.

Asbel has been red-hot in the latter half of the season, scoring eight goals over the last six matches and totaling 12 on the year. The Blue Raiders have also seen consistent offensive play from Ashiat Naluggwa and Amanda Parreiras, who have each netted five goals this season.

Cumberlands (12-2-3) enters the semifinal on a four-match winning streak, including a dominant 6-0 win over seventh-seeded Georgetown (Ky.) in the tournament quarterfinals. During this stretch, the Patriots have not allowed a goal and have outscored opponents 23-0. With six players scoring at least five goals this season, Cumberlands presents a balanced and strong attack that Lindsey Wilson will need to contain, once again, through disciplined team defense.

Kickoff between the Blue Raiders and Patriots is set for 6 p.m. CT at Walter S. Reuling Stadium on Ray Wells Field.
