Blue Raiders Host Crimson Pride

COLUMBIA, Ky.- The Blue Raider men's basketball program is set to host Indiana Columbus tonight at 6 P.M. CT inside Biggers Sports Center. 

Lindsey Wilson sits at 7-2 after a tough 84-79 loss in Georgia against No.20 Dalton State (Ga.) on Saturday. With three Blue Raiders averaging double-figures, Kenyata Carbon commands the offense posting 16.4 points a contest, as well as 4.7 boards, 3.6 assists, and 2.7 steals. Julian Cunningham and Latrell Kyles round out the scoring with 13.9 and 11.9 points a night, respectively. 

On the season LWU is averaging 85.0 points a game while holding opponents to 73.1 points, posting a +11.9 scoring margin. Shooting 47.6 percent from the floor, 34.9 percent from behind the arc, and 72.2 percent from the free throw line, the Blue Raiders have totaled 765 points in nine competitions. 

Indiana Columbus holds a 2-6 record after starting the season off 2-0 and sliding in its last six contests. Most recently, the Crimson Pride fell to Purdue Northwest (Ind.) 96-51 on Friday in an exhibition match. Jermayn Baxter leads the offense averaging 13.6 points and 4.6 rebounds a night. Damonte Thompson contributes 10.2 points and 4.5 boards an outing.

IU-Columbus is totaling up 75.8 points a contest on 43.8 percent shooting from the field, 30.9 percent from the three-point line, and 66.2 percent from the charity stripe. The Crimson Pride is allowing opponents 80.0 points, while also being outrebounded 36.5 to 33.8 a night. 

Tonight's meeting marks the first between the two programs with Lindsey Wilson looking for a bounce back win and IU-Columbus looking to end a six game slide. 

Tip-off between the Blue Raiders and Crimson Pride will occur at 6 P.M. CT inside Biggers Sports Center.
