COLUMBIA, Ky.- The Lindsey Wilson men's basketball team hosts No.19 University of Cumberlands at 7:30 p.m. CT Thursday at Biggers Sports Center.


Coming off a tough road loss to then-No. 3 Georgetown last week, the Blue Raiders (15-9, 2-6 Mid-South Conference) are eager for a bounce-back performance against the Patriots. Their first meeting this season was a lopsided 92-58 defeat, but head coach Chris Starks is focused on making key adjustments to take down the Patriots (12-7, 6-2 MSC). 


Lindsey Wilson averages 81.3 points per game while shooting 47.9 percent from the field. The Blue Raiders lead the MSC shooting 37.5 percent from beyond the arc as they look to stretch the floor against the Patriots. Kenyata Carbon leads Lindsey Wilson in scoring with 16.7 points per game while Daivel Jackson averages a team-high 7.6 rebounds per game. 


Cumberlands enters the matchup on a two-game skid, including a one-point loss to Johnson (Tennessee). The Patriots are led by Anthony Johnson, who averages 22.2 points per game. In the previous meeting, Harry Morrice made a major impact with a school-record 10 blocks. To avoid his defensive disruption, the Blue Raiders must rely on their speed and perimeter shooting. 


Tip-Off between the Blue Raiders and the No.19 Patriots is scheduled for 7:30 CT Thursday at Biggers Sports Center.
