HATTIESBURG, MISS. – The No. 2-ranked Lindsey Wilson men's golf team finished in fifth place at the Carey Collegiate on Tuesday at Canebrake Country Club. 

The Blue Raiders shot a total of 29 over par, finishing with a score of 881 (300-289-292) over three rounds. They trailed No. 1 Dalton State (Ga.), who placed first with a score of 874. Point (GA), No. 18 William Carey (Miss.), and (RV) Blue Mountain (Miss.) finished tied for second with scores of 880. The Blue Raiders and Spring Hill (Tenn.) led all teams with 40 birdies. Lindsey WIlson had an average of 4.16 on Par 4's that led all teams 

Rio Saigal led all golfers, finishing 6 under par with a score of 207 (69-69-69). He was the only golfer to finish below par after all three rounds. He led all golfers with a -5 on par 4s and led the tournament field with 12 birdies. Teammates Stanley White shot 11-over par with a score of 224 (76-74-74), placing 20th, while Johan Bredenkamp (77-77-71) and Polakrit Pawichai (78-69-78) both shot 12 over, tying for 24th with scores of 225. 

Maciej Janusiewicz, competing individually, placed 42nd with a score of 230 (75-81-74), and Adam Hawthorn finished 60th with a score of 236 (78-77-81). 

The Blue Raiders will return to the course on March 17 for the Lindsey Wilson College Spring Classic at The Pines at Lindsey Wilson.
