LONDON, Ky. – The Lindsey Wilson men's golf team sits in first place following the first two rounds of the Patriot Invitational Monday at Crooked Creek Golf Course.
The Blue Raiders shot a 3-over par 579 (291-288) on the par-72 6,930-yard course and lead Campbellsville (Ky.) and Cumberlands (Ky.) by 22 shots heading into Tuesday's final round. Lindsey Wilson carded the most birdies in the first two rounds with 31 and are third in par-5 scoring at -2.
Three Blue Raiders are in the top five of the individual leaderboard led by
Rio Saigal who is in first with a three-under par 141 (72-69). Saigal is tied with
Toby White for the most birdies in the tournament with eight.
Toby White sits three shots behind with Saigal with a 144 (70-74). He is tied for the tournament lead in par-5 scoring at -4.
Johan Bredenkamp is fourth with a 146 (75-71) and is tied for the second most birdies with seven.
Charlie Jones (76-77) – competing as an individual – and
Stanley White (74-79) are tied for 20th with a 153.
James Gibb (78-77) – competing as an individual –
Maciej Janusiewicz (81-74) are tied for 23rd with a 155.
The final round of the Patriot Invitational gets underway Tuesday morning at Crooked Creek Golf Course.
