LIMA, Ohio – The No. 3-ranked Lindsey Wilson women's tennis team earned a 4-1 victory over No. 17 Northwestern Ohio on Tuesday evening. Anastasiia Ivanchenko secured the win for the Blue Raiders with a hard-fought three-set victory at No. 4 singles, battling back after dropping the second set to claim the decisive third.

The Blue Raiders (4-2) took the early advantage by winning two of the three doubles matches. Heyka Rodriguez and Anastasiia Vorobiova earned a 6-2 win at No. 1 doubles, while Aina Domingo Bernabeu and Mariangeles Mateu, ranked No. 10 nationally, secured a 6-4 win at No. 3 doubles to clinch the doubles point. The No. 2 doubles match saw Mayra Gisone and Anastasiia Ivanchenko, ranked No. 7 in doubles, fall 6-3.

In singles play, No. 21-ranked Domingo Bernabeu extended the Blue Raiders' lead with a 6-4, 6-1 win at No. 1 singles. Mayra Gisone then put Lindsey Wilson on the brink of victory with a three-set 4-6, 6-2, 6-2 win at No. 5. Ivanchenko sealed the match at No. 4 singles, winning 6-3, 3-6, 6-3 in a back-and-forth battle that tested her endurance and composure.

The remaining singles matches were left unfinished. No. 11-ranked Vorobiova had pushed her match to a third set at No. 2, while No. 16-ranked Mateu was leading in the fourth set of her match at No. 3 before play was halted.

The Blue Raiders face No. 13 Holy Cross (Ind.) tomorrow to continue their participation in the Racer Invitational.
