LIMA, Ohio – No. 3-ranked Lindsey Wilson women's tennis secured a commanding 4-0 victory over No. 13-ranked Holy Cross (Ind.) on Wednesday evening at the Racer Invitational. Heyka Rodriguez delivered the clinching win for the Blue Raiders with a straight-set victory at No. 6 singles.

The Blue Raiders (5-2) took control early in doubles play, winning two matches to claim the first point of the match. Aina Domingo Bernabeu and Mariangeles Mateu, ranked No. 10 nationally, secured a 6-2 win at No. 3 doubles. Shortly after, Heyka Rodriguez and Anastasiia Vorobiova defeated No. 4-ranked Leah Gonzales and Victoria Savvidou 6-3 at No. 1 doubles to seal the doubles point. The No. 2 doubles match was left unfinished with Lindsey Wilson trailing 3-4.

In singles action, Anastasiia Ivanchenko put the Blue Raiders ahead 2-0 with a dominant 6-1, 6-2 victory at No. 4 singles. Domingo Bernabeu, ranked No. 21 nationally, extended the lead to 3-0 with a 6-3, 6-1 win over No. 29-ranked Victoria Savvidou at No. 1 singles. Rodriguez then secured the match for Lindsey Wilson, battling to a 7-6 (7-3), 6-2 victory at No. 6 singles.

The remaining singles matches were left unfinished. Vorobiova, ranked 11th, was in a third set at No. 2 singles against No. 32-ranked Jamison Geofferys. No. 16-ranked Mateu was a set up and 3-1 ahead in the second set at No. 3. Mayra Gisone's match at No. 5 singles was halted in the third set after splitting the first two. 

The Blue Raiders will return to action at 1 p.m. CT on March 9 for their home opener against No. 14-ranked St. Thomas (Fla.).
