Men’s Golf Wins Sixth Tournament at Patriot Invitational

LONDON, Ky. – The Lindsey Wilson men's golf team won its sixth tournament of the season on Tuesday at the Patriot Invitational at Crooked Creek Golf Course.

The Blue Raiders carded a 17-over par 881 (291-288-302) on the par-72 6,930 yard course. Lindsey Wilson's even-par 288 in the second round was the lowest score of the tournament. Campbellsville (Ky.) finished second with an 899 while host Cumberlands (Ky.) was third with a 901. The Blue Raiders led the tournament with 41 birdies and was one of three teams to record an eagle in the tournament.

Toby White took home medalist honors after defeating Bethel's (Tenn.) Cayden Chambers in a playoff. Following the final round, White (70-74-72) and Chambers were tied with a 216. White recorded a birdie on the second hole to secure the individual victory. He led the tournament in par-5 scoring at -7, tied with Chambers for the most birdies with 11 and was one of four golfers to record an eagle.

Johan Bredenkamp (75-71-76) and Rio Saigal (72-69-81) finished tied for fourth with a 222. Saigal recorded the second-most birdies in the tournament with 10 while Bredenkamp carded eight.

Stanley White carded a 226 (74-79-73) to finish 12th. James Gibb (78-77-75) and Charlie Jones (76-77-81) competed as individuals and finished tied for 19th and tied for 25th with a 230 and 234, respectively. Maciej Janusiewicz rounded out the Blue Raider scoring, coming in 31st with a 237.

The Blue Raiders are back in action on April 7 at the Roadrunner Classic in Dalton, Georgia.
