COLUMBIA, Ky. – The No. 3-ranked Lindsey Wilson women's tennis team swept Freed-Hardeman (Tenn.) 4-0 on Wednesday afternoon at the Henry Baughman Tennis Complex, remaining undefeated in Mid-South Conference play.

The Blue Raiders (11-2, 3-0 MSC) controlled the match from start to finish, securing the doubles point before winning three consecutive singles matches to clinch the victory.

Lindsey Wilson's dominance began in doubles, with No. 20-ranked Aina Domingo Bernabeu and Mariangeles Mateu quickly securing a 6-0 victory over Kennley Kirk and Cecily Davis at No. 3.

At No. 2 doubles, No. 3-ranked Anastasiia Ivanchenko and Mayra Gisone followed with a 6-1 win over Elise Kruzan and Morgan Brown, clinching the doubles point. The No. 2-ranked duo of Anastasiia Vorobiova and Heyka Rodriguez then closed out the round with a 6-0 sweep of Suri Gomez and Hannah Pearce at No. 1 doubles, giving Lindsey Wilson a 1-0 lead heading into singles play.

Bernabeu, ranked No. 18 nationally in singles, wasted no time extending the lead, rolling past Kruzan 6-1, 6-0 at No. 1 to make it 2-0.

At No. 3 singles, No. 23-ranked Mateu delivered another dominant performance, defeating Gomez 6-2, 6-0 to push the Blue Raiders ahead 3-0.

No. 8-ranked Vorobiova then clinched the match for Lindsey Wilson with a 6-2, 6-2 victory over Brown at No. 2 singles, sealing the 4-0 win.

The remaining singles matches at No. 4 and No. 5 were left unfinished.

The Blue Raiders return to action on Friday, April 4, at 2 p.m. CT, hosting Milligan (Tenn.) at the Henry Baughman Tennis Complex.
