GEORGETOWN, Ky. – The No. 6-ranked Lindsey Wilson men's tennis team cruised past Mid-South Conference foe Georgetown (Ky.) 7-0 on Wednesday afternoon at the Lackey Tennis Center.

The Blue Raiders (12-3, 5-0 MSC) started strong in doubles, picking up the point after wins at No. 1 and No. 3. Logan Engela and Aldo Randazzo struck first with a 6-3 win at No. 3, followed by No. 13-ranked Hans Schubert and Santiago Passoni's 6-3 win at No. 1. Georgetown managed to edge out a 7-6 victory at No. 2 doubles, but Lindsey Wilson secured the 1-0 lead.

In singles play, Schubert quickly made it 2-0 with a 6-1, 6-4 win over Leo Schirmer at the top spot. No. 50 Jaume Barcelo followed with a 6-0, 6-2 win at No. 4, and No. 14 Passoni clinched the match at No. 2 with a 6-2, 6-2 victory over Will Barnes.

From there, No. 13 German Delcanto added to the scoreline with a 6-3, 6-4 win at No. 3. No. 29 Marcal Miret battled back after dropping the opening set to win 0-6, 6-2, 10-4 at No. 5, and Randazzo closed out the sweep with a 6-3, 6-1 win at No. 6.

Lindsey Wilson returns to action on Saturday, April 12, for another MSC road match. First serve is scheduled for 1 p.m. CT against Cumberlands (Ky.) in Williamsburg, Ky.
