COLUMBIA, Ky. - Santiago Bracco and
Santiago Passoni were named 2025 Intercollegiate Tennis Association NAIA Men's National Award recipients, the ITA announced on Tuesday.
Bracco was named the ITA Assistant Coach of the Year while Passoni earned ITA Rookie of the Year honors. Bracco becomes the program's second-ever ITA Assistant Coach of the Year honoree, joining Johnny Thornton, who won the award in 2015. Passoni is the second Blue Raider to earn the Freshman of the Year honor after Camilo Erazo won the award in 2018.
Bracco helped lead the Blue Raiders to a 15-4 overall record and a perfect 6-0 mark in the Mid-South Conference, as Lindsey Wilson captured both the regular season and conference tournament titles. In April, he was also named the MSC Assistant Coach of the Year.
Passoni – the MSC Freshman of the Year – went 15-2 in singles in his freshman campaign. The Rosairo, Argentina native is 5-0 at No. 2 singles, 5-1 at No. 3 singles, and 5-1 at No. 4 singles this season. Passoni this season has teamed up with
Hans Schubert at No. 1 doubles and went 10-6.
