Rio Saigal has been named a finalist for the 2025 Gary Player International Golfer of the Year Award presented by FlightScope, the Golf Coaches' Association of America announced Tuesday.
The award is given to five outstanding collegiate golfers from outside the United States, one each for NCAA Divisions I, II, and III, as well as NAIA and NJCAA. The Gary Player Award is selected by GCAA International member coaches with representation from around the world.
The London, England native is joined by Keiser's (Fla.) Adam Buchanan, Southwestern Christian's (Okla.) Grant Ferreira, Webber International's (Fla.) Vedant Sirohi, and Keiser's (Fla.) Jack Whaley.
Saigal is up for the award after a successful 2024-25 campaign, which saw him be the Mid-South Conference Men's Golfer of the Year, a First Team NAIA All-American, and named to the NAIA Ping All-America First Team by the GCAA. This season, he set single-season program records in scoring average (70.2) and rounds of par or better with 22.
