COLUMBIA, Ky. - The Blue Raider women's track and field team finished second in both the Mid-South Conference Indoor and Outdoor Championships, a two-spot improvement from the 2023-24 season.
Ten different student-athletes captured conference titles, including
Hannah Reid, whose efforts at the indoor meet in February earned her Co-Freshman of the Year honors. She became the first in program history since Leia Gregory in 2018 to claim that title for the indoor season. Along the way, Reid set indoor school records in the 400 and 600-meter dashes.
Reid was also one of five to garner NAIA All-American status at the indoor national championships in Gainesville, Florida. That is the most in a single season in program history.
Eliza Hagens collected All-American honors at both national meets after placing eighth in the 3,000-meter racewalk inside, and eighth in the 5,000-meter racewalk outside.
Additional school records broken during the 2024-25 campaign include
Isabel Urrutia Lemus in the 60-meter hurdles (indoor) and 100-meter hurdles (outdoor), Reid in the 400-meter dash (outdoor),
Rosemond Owusu in the high jump (indoor and outdoor), the indoor 4x400-meter relay, and the outdoor 4x100, 4x200, and 4x400-meter relays.
As a team, Lindsey Wilson finished with five top-fives, one of which coming as a victory at the Cumberlands (Ky.) Early Spring Meet.
