COLUMBIA, Ky. – The Blue Raider volleyball team travels to Nashville for a non-conference tri-match with Mississippi Valley State and Fisk (Tenn.) on Saturday, September 13.
Lindsey Wilson – who enters at 10-3 overall – is fresh off a five-set win at Pikeville (Ky.) on Tuesday, in which the Blue Raiders recorded a season-high 11 blocks.
Senior
Ola Wyrzykowska is on a nine-match double-digit kill streak and has double-doubles in back-to-back outings. Freshman
Ana Clara Beltran Sacca is hitting 0.293 and averaging 10 kills, six blocks, and 5.5 digs in the last two matches. Her 13 kills against the Bears earlier this week tied a season-high she previously set on August 29 versus McPherson (Kan.).
Saturday's meeting with Mississippi Valley State – an NCAA Division I institution – will be the first ever between Lindsey Wilson and the Devilettes. Mississippi Valley State is on back-to-back wins entering the weekend and is led by sophomore Lyric Edwards. The Texas native sports a team-best 13 blocks and ranks second for kills with 27.
Fisk – 10-4 overall – brings a four-match win streak into its 2025 home opener. All four victories during that stretch have come by three-set decisions. Even with their solid record, the Bulldogs have only hit better than 0.200 four times this season. Sophomore outside hitter Shelby Chamblin – 122 kills, 0.194 attack percentage – leads Fisk on offense, while senior libero Nialah Gupton averages 4.29 digs per set and is a big reason why the Bulldogs rank second in the Gulf Coast Athletic Conference for total digs.
Lindsey Wilson is 4-0 all-time against Fisk, including three wins in Nashville. The two sides last met in 2021.
