COLUMBIA, Ky. – The Blue Raider volleyball team, off to its best eight-match start in five years, is receiving votes on the fringe of the top-25 in the NAIA's first coaches' poll of the 2025 season.
Lindsey Wilson is the first team outside the top-25 with 74 points, trailing Dakota State (S.D.) and upcoming opponent Aquinas (Mich.) in a tie at No. 24 by six points.
The first top-25 ratings of the regular season experienced a shake-up all around, as no team remained at the same spot as they were in the preseason poll on August 13. Eastern Oregon leaped four spots to No. 1, followed by Concordia (Neb.), Bellevue (Neb.), Corban (Ore.), and Providence (Mont.) to round out the top-five.
Mid-South Conference rival Cumberlands (Ky.) catapulted to No. 20 after receiving votes to start the year. Meanwhile, Cumberland (Tenn.) takes the Patriots' place and is receiving votes for the first time since 2022.
Other future matches for Lindsey Wilson include 11
th-ranked Missouri Baptist, No. 18 Indiana Kokomo, and (RV) Cornerstone (Mich.).
The Blue Raiders will travel north to Grand Rapids, Michigan this weekend to challenge Aquinas and Cornerstone as part of the two school's joint invitational.
