Women’s Soccer Welcomes No. 14 Cumberland for MSC Battle

COLUMBIA, Ky - The Lindsey Wilson women's soccer team hosts Mid-South Conference opponent No.14 Cumberland University (Tenn.) at 5 p.m. CT on Wednesday on Ray Wells Field at Walter S. Reuling Stadium.

The Blue Raiders (3-4-1, 2-0 MSC) are coming off a conference win over (RV) Campbellsville (Ky.) last week and look to keep their undefeated conference record intact against the Phoenix. Reigning Mid-South Defensive Player of the Week, Demi Serman, has been dominant in goal, holding conference opponents scoreless while posting a perfect save percentage.

Offensively, Lara Rocha and Amanda Parreiras lead the Blue Raiders with three goals apiece, while Ashiat Naluggwa paces the team in points with eight on two goals and four assists. Lindsey Wilson thrives when pushing the pace, averaging 13.8 shots per game while limiting opponents to just 9.9 attempts.

Cumberland (8-2, 1-0 MSC) brings a strong offense led by Olga Wallemo, who is tied for first in the conference with five goals this season. Kadisha Martina adds to the attack with 36 shots, the second most in the league, scoring four times.
With both teams aiming to protect their perfect conference records, the match may come down to fundamentals and defensive execution.
