OWENSBORO, Ky – The Lindsey Wilson men's cross country team opened the 2025 season with a third-place finish at the Panther Prowl Cross Country Classic on Friday at Yellow Creek Park.
The Blue Raiders tallied 90 points to finish third in the 6K race. Evansville (Ind.) took first with 26 points while Bethel (Tenn.) was second, tallying 73 points.
Freshman
Dashawn Overly paced the Blue Raiders, finishing sixth out of 72 in his first collegiate meet (19:35.2). Fellow freshman
Ashton Johnson was the second Blue Raider to cross the line at 20:43.6, which was good for 24th place. Yet another freshman finished 25th right after Johnson,
Isaac Wells crossed the line at 20:45.5. Sophomore
Bryce Clayton finished in 27th place with a time of 20:47.2.
Mason Magyar (20:53.6) finished 30th, followed by senior
Kevin Cuin (21:50.6) finishing in 39th place. Junior
Zach McCaslin (22:08.2) finished in 47th,
Landon Franich 49th (22:18.6), and
Xavier Smith (22:18.7) rounded out the Lindsey Wilson finishers in 50th place, respectively.
The Blue Raiders return to action on Friday, September 19, for the Midway XC Invitational in Versailles, Ky.
