COLUMBIA, Ky. - Lindsey Wilson men's soccer utility man Denilson Macon was named the Mid-South Conference Men's Soccer Offensive Player of the Week, the conference announced Monday.
Macon, of Gainesville, Florida, recorded one goal and two game-winning assists in two Blue Raider victories. Against Campbellsville (Ky.), Macon found Niccolas Souza on a corner kick that would give the Blue Raiders a 2-1 lead in the first half. He then added an insurance goal in the second half to secure a 3-1 win over the Tigers.
Against Union Commonwealth (Ky.), Macon recorded the game-winning assist after his shot bounced off the Union keeper, and Lindsey Wilson teammate Renny Caicedo was able to score the only goal of the game, leading to a 1-0 victory.
This marks Macon's first career weekly honor and Lindsey Wilson's first offensive weekly honor of the 2026 season.
Macon and the Blue Raiders return to action at 2 p.m. CT on Saturday, Oct. 17, taking on Georgetown (Ky.) in Georgetown, Ky.
