No. 18 Men's Soccer Celebrates Senior Night with 3-1 Victory over Campbellsville

COLUMBIA, Ky. - The No. 18-ranked Lindsey Wilson men's soccer celebrated Senior Night with a 3-1 victory over Mid-South Conference rival Campbellsville (Ky.) Thursday night at Ray Wells Field inside Walter S. Reuling Stadium.

The Blue Raiders (6-4-1, 3-1-1 MSC) were outshot 13-9, but the Tigers (3-6-4, 1-2-1 MSC) were unable to get past Lindsey Wilson goalkeeper Zahir Garcia, who recorded five saves. Seniors Bony Ulrich and Niccolas Souza scored in the first half, while Denilson Macon added an insurance goal in the second. Macon, Tyson Ndlovu, and Milan Diao each recorded an assist.

Lindsey Wilson were the aggressors in the first 15 minutes with three shots and two corner kicks, keeping the Campbellsville defense on its toes.

In the 17th minute, Lucas Migon sent a ball to Ndlovu, who then dribbled the ball all the way down to the left-wing side before sending a cross to Ulrich, who shot the ball past goalkeeper Malthe Schou for the first goal of the game. It marked Ulrich's first goal of the season and the 11th different Blue Raider to record a goal this season.

20 seconds later, Campbellsville tied the game by launching an offensive counter after the game resumed play. Jon Magnusson received a ball from Mihlali Blesi from outside the 18' and sent a scorcher on the ground right past a diving Garcia. Izan Garcia Gancedo was also accredited with an assist on Magnusson's goal.

The Blue Raiders found themselves back in the drivers by forcing three corner kicks in a four-minute span late in the first half. In the 37th minute, Macon sent a ball off a corner kick to Souza, who was able to put his foot on it and put Lindsey Wilson back on top 2-1. This marks Souza's first goal since the season opener against Life.

The Tigers once again tried to catch the Blue Raiders defense line sleeping after a goal, but Garcia was able to save a ball from a wide-open Alessandro Martinez in the 38th minute. The Blue Raiders were able to hold on to the 2-1 lead heading into halftime.

In the second half, Campbellsville controlled the ball and heavily pressured the Lindsey Wilson defensive line by shooting six shots before the Blue Raiders got one off.

In the 71st minute, Lindsey Wilson was able to create a counterattack off a Blesi blocked shot, when Diao received a ball and found a wide-open Macon, who was able to extend the Blue Raiders' lead to 3-1, which would be the final score of the game.

Lindsey Wilson extends their win streak over Campbellsville to 12, while they celebrated the seniors of the 2026 Lindsey Wilson men's team.

The Blue Raiders will return for their last regular season match at home against Union Commonwealth (Ky.) on Saturday, Oct. 10 at 7 p.m. CT.
