COLUMBIA, Ky. - Lindsey Wilson student-athlete Rashad Orr II has been selected as the Mid-South Conference Football Defensive Player of the Week, conference officials announced Monday.

Orr of Hollywood, Florida, earns weekly honors for the first time in his career and is the second Blue Raider this season to earn Defensive Player of the Week honors. He recorded two interception and had a touchdown in Lindsey Wilson's 35-14 victory over Cumberland (Tenn.).

His first interception came on Cumberland's first offensive drive. Orr intercepted the ball at the 50 and returned it three yards to the Phoenix 47. His second interception came in the fourth quarter. With Cumberland driving, Orr picked off the pass at the Blue Raider nine ending the Phoenix scoring threat. Orr and the Blue Raider defense limited Cumberland to just 84 passing yards in the victory.

Orr and Lindsey Wilson are back in action Saturday hosting Bethel (Tenn.) on Homecoming and Senior Day at 1:30 p.m. CT at Parnell Family Stadium.
