COLUMBIA, Ky. - After being named the Mid-South Conference Offensive Player of the Week earlier today, Max Gainey has earned PrestoSports NAIA Football Offensive Player of the Week honors.
 
The wide receiver from Louisville, Kentucky, earns the honor for the second time this season and becomes the first Blue Raider in program history to earn the recognition multiple times.  
 
In the win over Andrew (Ga.) on Saturday, Gainey caught seven passes for 164 yards and a program-record five touchdowns. He averaged 23.4 yards per catch and all five of his touchdowns occurred in the first half. Gainey also set the record for touchdowns in a season with his third touchdown and now has 16 on the year.
 
Gainey and the Blue Raiders are back in action on Saturday for a MSC matchup at Cumberland (Tenn.) at 1:30 p.m. CT.
