COLUMBIA, Ky. — Lindsey Wilson women's soccer freshman
Ona Monserrat Baca has earned her second Mid-South Conference Offensive Player of the Week honor of the season, league officials announced Monday.
Monserrat Baca, a native of Torrelavit, Spain, earned the accolade after recording two goals and an assist in the Blue Raiders' 4-1 victory over Georgetown (Ky.) in the MSC Tournament quarterfinals. After Lindsey Wilson fell behind 1-0 late in the first half, Monserrat Baca provided the equalizer less than a minute later to send the match into halftime tied 1-1. Coming out of intermission, the freshman delivered the go-ahead goal to give Lindsey Wilson a 2-1 lead, then provided an assist on the follow up goal by

The honor marks the program's fifth conference weekly accolade of the season, and the first since

Monserrat Baca and the No. 8-ranked Blue Raiders return to the pitch for the MSC Tournament semifinals at 3 p.m. CT on Wednesday, Nov. 4, on the road against No. 4-ranked Cumberlands (Ky.).
