Women’s Wrestling Set to Compete at MSC Championship on Friday

COLUMBIA, Ky. - The No. 5-ranked Lindsey Wilson women's wrestling team travels to Bowling Green, Kentucky for the Mid-South Conference Championship on Friday at 10 a.m. CT at Ephram White Gym.
 
The Blue Raiders enter Friday's championship with 11 wrestlers ranked in the final NAIA Coaches' Poll. Of the 11, seven are ranked in the top 10 of their respective weight classes. Reagan Thomas (No. 10 at 110), Grace Lashinsky (No. 6 at 117), Callie Payton (No. 9 at 117), Kamilah Brooks (No. 4 at 124), Jeila Ramos (No. 7 at 131), Kori Campbell (No. 5 at 145), and Hayeni Costa (No. 7 at 207) are the Blue Raiders in the top 10.
 
Four other conference teams competing are ranked in the top 20, while two are mentioned in the receiving votes section. Life (Ga.) is ranked No. 1, Indiana Tech is ranked seventh, Cumberlands (Ky.) is 12th, while Campbellsville is 17th.  Montreat (N.C.) and Georgetown (Ky.) are receiving votes.
 
The MSC has 51 allocations to the NAIA National Championship up for grabs on Friday. The 48 allocations are based on the number of individuals from the conference ranked in each weight class.
 
The brackets for the championship are determined at Thursday night's coaches' meeting.

The MSC Women's Wrestling championship gets underway Friday at 10 a.m. CT from Ephram White Gym.
