COLUMBIA, Ky. – The Lindsey Wilson men's basketball team is set to host No. 6 University of the Cumberlands (Ky.) on Tuesday night at 7:30 p.m. CT inside Biggers Sports Center in a Mid-South Conference matchup.
The Blue Raiders (15-7, 4-3 MSC) return home after a stretch of strong offensive performances, averaging 82.5 points per game while shooting 48.4 percent from the field and 36.9 percent from beyond the arc. Lindsey Wilson also holds a +3.0 rebounding margin and forces 14 turnovers per game.
Senior guard
Kenyata Carbon continues to lead the Blue Raiders in scoring with 18.9 points per game on 58.9 percent shooting.
Mihail Gavazov follows with 11.6 points and a team-best 6.0 rebounds while shooting 43.8 percent from three-point range.
Julian Cunningham adds 11.0 points and 3.0 assists per game, and
Latrell Kyles contributes 9.9 points.
Victory Naboya provides strength inside, averaging 8.6 points and 5.6 rebounds on 59.1 percent shooting.
The Blue Raiders will look to slow down one of the nation's highest-scoring teams in Cumberlands (19-4, 4-3 MSC). The Patriots average 88.0 points per game and shoot 47 percent from the field while holding opponents to 74.0 points. They also lead the conference in rebounding with 38.3 boards per game and a +6.3 margin.
Cumberlands (Ky.) is led by Kyle Duke, who averages 20.9 points, 4.0 rebounds, and 4.7 assists on 49.3 percent shooting. Andrew McConnell adds 13.9 points and leads the team with 56 made threes, while Brant Smithers scores 11.5 points per game. Javecckio Thomas contributes 11.0 points and 5.5 rebounds, and Malachi Robinson provides 5.3 points and 4.7 rebounds per contest.
