CIRCLEVILLE, Ohio - The Blue Raider women's basketball team defeated the Trailblazers of Ohio Christian 85-63 on Saturday afternoon in the Maxwell Center. 

Meadow Tisdale and Emily Cox led the offensive brigade with 17 points apiece while Taylor Guess rounded out the double-figure scoring with 10 points. 

Lindsey Wilson opened the first quarter on a 6-2 run that lasted from 9:39 to 8:38 to pull ahead of Ohio Christian. A layup from Taylor Guess at 7:12 sparked a 9-0 run to extend the Lindsey Wilson lead to 15-2 with 5:30 remaining. The Blue Raiders closed the quarter on a 9-4 run that began with a Grace Brewer three and ended with a Landree Moons layup to lead 24-7. 

A layup from Brewer with 9:56 left in the first half opened up a 7-2 run, pushing LWU ahead 31-9 with 8:02 remaining. The Trailblazers answered back with a 10-0 run of their own from 7:40 to 4:20 to cut the Lindsey Wilson lead to 31-19.  At 2:04, Trailblazer JoLeigh Hamilton connected on a three to cut the LWU lead to single digits for a 33-24 score. The Blue Raiders ended the quarter on a 6-3 run to lead 39-27 at the half. 

Jarie Thomas opened the second half scoring, sparking an 11-2 run that ended at 6:39 to extend the Blue Raider lead to 49-29 with 6:39 remaining in the third quarter. At 5:30 Tisdale finished a tough bucket on the inside, followed by a Thomas three to push the lead to 54-34 with 4:53 on the clock. Moons got to the rim at 0:14 to give Lindsey Wilson a 65-43 lead headed into the final ten minutes of action. 

The Blue Raiders and Trailblazers went head-to-head in the fourth quarter with both teams tallying 20 points apiece. Lindsey Wilson went on to defeat Ohio Christian 85-63

Women's hoops will be back in action on Thursday to face No. 2-ranked Freed-Hardeman (Tenn.) in Henderson, Tennessee at 5:30 P.M. CT.
