COLUMBIA, Ky. – The No. 5-ranked Lindsey Wilson men's tennis team defeated Georgetown (Ky.) 7-0 on Sunday at the Henry Baughman Tennis Complex.
Lucas Marques and
Miguel Mateo Larrea defeated Zachery Thompson and Rex Roof 6-0 at No. 2 doubles.
Lev Sholosh and
Facundo Grasso clinched the doubles point for the Blue Raiders (3-2, 2-0 Mid-South Conference) with a 6-3 victory over Leo Schirmer and Alex Stragier at No. 1 doubles.
Raul Safont and Jose David Tobar Sanchez won 6-2 at No. 3 doubles.
Sholosh pushed the Lindsey Wilson lead to 2-0 with a 6-1, 6-0 victory at No. 1 singles over Schirmer. Larrea increased the Blue Raider lead to 3-0 with a 6-4, 6-2 win at No. 3 singles over Stragier. Grasso clinched the match for the Blue Raiders with a 6-1, 7-5 victory over Thompson at No. 2 singles.
Safont made it 5-0 with a 6-4, 6-1 victory over Tom Dwyer at No. 4 singles. Marques and
Aldo Randazzo picked up wins at No. 5 and No. 6 singles, respectively.
Lindsey Wilson returns to the court on Saturday, March 7, with a matchup at Campbellsville (Ky.) at 10 a.m. CT.
