COLUMBIA, Ky. – The No. 2-ranked Lindsey Wilson women's tennis team defeated (RV) Grace (Ind.) on Tuesday 7-0 at the Henry Baughman Tennis Complex.
 
Martina Cortal and Mayra Gisone defeated Molli Runestad and Lauren Harris 6-0 at No. 2 doubles. Antonina Butrova and Hang Nguyen clinched the doubles point for the Blue Raiders with a 6-0 victory at No. 3 against Shannon Brumbaugh and Landry Shrock. Heyka Rodriguez and Javiera Verdugo won 6-1 at No. 1.
 
Gisone made it 2-0 with a 6-1, 6-3 victory over Jimena Ramirez at No. 1 singles. Mariangeles Mateu pushed the Blue Raider lead to 3-0 with a 6-4, 6-0 win at No. 2 against Faith Valentine. Verdugo clinched the match with a 6-3, 6-2 win over Runestad at No. 3.
 
Blanca Trillo Pita da Veiga won 6-2, 6-0 at No. 4 singles. Nguyen and Rodriguez earned wins at No. 5 and No. 6 singles respectively.
 
The Blue Raiders are back in action on Monday March 16 hosting No. 15 Cumberlands (Ky.) at 1 p.m. CT at the Henry Baughman Tennis Complex.
