COLUMBIA, Ky. – The No. 6-ranked Lindsey Wilson men's tennis team earned its fifth straight victory on Friday over (RV) McPherson (Kan.) 7-0 at the Henry Baughman Tennis Complex.
Lev Sholosh and
Lucas Marques defeated Arthur Nardy and Hamish Wyatt 6-2 in the top-seeded doubles match.
Raul Safont and
Aldo Randazzo clinched the doubles point for the Blue Raiders (7-2) with a 6-2 win over Texas Ranger Schmidt and Mikkel Jensen at No. 3 doubles.
Miguel Mateo Larrea and
Facundo Grasso won 6-2 at No. 2 doubles.
Grasso increased the Lindsey Wilson lead to 2-0 with a 6-1, 6-2 victory over Jayson Wasserfuhr at No. 2 singles. Larrea defeated Bruno Barrientos 6-0, 6-4 in No. 3 singles, increasing the lead to 3-0. Sholosh clinched the match for Lindsey Wilson with a 7-5, 6-3 win over Nardy at No. 1 singles.
Randazzo defeated Davian Spies 6-0, 6-1 at No. 6 singles. Safont and José David Tobar Sánchez earned wins at No. 4 and No. 5 singles, respectively.
The Blue Raiders return to action on Monday, hosting No. 15 Marian (Ind.) at 2 p.m. CT at the Henry Baughman Tennis Complex.
