COLUMBIA, Ky. - The Lindsey Wilson men's golf team took home the team title Saturday at the Lindsey Wilson Spring Invitational at The Pines at Lindsey Wilson.
The Blue Raiders finished with a 31-under-par 821 (275-275-271). Lindsey Wilson's 821 is the fifth-lowest three-round score in program history. The Blue Raiders defeated Campbellsville by 16 shots. Lindsey Wilson led the tournament in par-4 scoring (-9) and in par-5 scoring at -26. The Blue Raiders carded a tournament-high 62 birdies over the three rounds.
Callum Waugh took home medalist honors with a 10-under 203 (70-68-65). Waugh edged out teammate
Toby White by one shot. He finished his tournament -6 on par-4s and par-5s, and carded 14 birdies. White (65-69-70) tied for the tournament lead in birdies with 18.
Stanley White finished tied for third with a 205 (67-69-69). White carded 13 birdies over his three rounds. Phillip Kittoff Jr. carded a 212 (73-73-67) to finish tied for 11th, while
Polakrit Pawichai tied for 14th with a 213 (73-69-71).
The Lindsey Wilson B team finished in fourth with an 847 (281-284-282),
James Gibb posted a fifth-place finish with a 206 (70-68-68) and led the tournament in par-4 scoring at -8.
Charlie Jones carded a 211 (69-70-72) to finish in 10th and led the tournament in par-3 scoring at -3. Magnus Mahahr finished tied for 11th with a 212 (72-68-72), while
Maciej Janusiewicz tied for 28th with a 218 (70-78-70).
Kole Rixon rounds out the Blue Raiders in 48th.
Lindsey Wilson returns to action on March 30 for the Roadrunner Classic in Dalton, Georgia at The Farm Golf Course.
