COLUMBIA, Ky. – Lindsey Wilson men's basketball standout
Kenyata Carbon earned NAIA Men's Basketball All-America Second Team honors, NAIA officials announced Monday morning.
Carbon becomes the first Blue Raider to receive NAIA All-America recognition since Reece Brooks was named Third Team All-American during the 2019-20 season.
The Owensboro, Kentucky native put together an impressive junior campaign, averaging 19.0 points and 5.2 rebounds per game while shooting 57.0 percent from the field. He also contributed 118 assists and 73 steals, impacting the game on both ends of the floor.
Carbon was named Mid-South Conference Player of the Year after leading the Blue Raiders offensively throughout the season. He finished the year with 570 total points, ranking among the top scorers in the conference.
His top performance came on February 14 at Bethel (Tenn.), where he scored a season-high 33 points in a standout showing.
Lindsey Wilson finished the season with an 18-12 overall record and earned a berth in the NAIA National Tournament. The Blue Raiders faced No. 24-ranked Graceland (Iowa) in the opening round, falling 83-72 to close out the season.
