CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky. - The No. 2-ranked Lindsey Wilson women's tennis team defeated Campbellsville (Ky.) 7-0 in a Mid-South Conference matchup on Friday at the Kelly Hall Tennis Complex.
With the victory, the Blue Raiders improve to 6-1 overall and 3-0 in the MSC.
Mariangels Mateu and
Blanca Trillo Pita da Veiga defeated Valentina Curli and Ekaterina Amosova 6-1 at No. 3 doubles.
Mayra Gisone and
Martina Cortal clinched the doubles point for Lindsey Wilson with a 6-1 victory at No. 2 doubles against Belen Cavallero and Evdokiia Volkova.
Heyka Rodriguez and
Javiera Verdugo won 6-2 in the at No. 1 doubles.
Gisone increased the Lindsey Wilson lead to 2-0 with a 6-0, 6-1 victory over Amosova at No. 1 singles. Mateu made it 3-0 in favor of the Blue Raiders with a 6-1, 6-3 win against Cavallero at No. 3 singles. Cortal clinched the match for Lindsey Wilson with a 6-3, 6-2 victory over Curli at No. 2 singles.
Verdugo defeated Volkova 6-0, 6-2 at No. 4 singles, while Rodriguez and
Hang Nguyen earned wins at No. 6 and No. 5, respectively.
